There has never been a time like the present, to explore all the possibilities available for one to fulfill their dreams. I have waited many years–procrastinating, now realizing that some of the things that I’ve dreamed of doing are impossible now. I’ve attempted many projects, only to lose faith that I could ever bring them to life. There was the hope of being an actress, a writer, a nurse, a singer, a great musician, a ballet dancer, and even a commercial artist.
Many stumbling blocks discouraged me, and I didn’t have anyone to encourage me to follow my dreams–no matter what they were. If I could turn back the hands of time about twenty five years, I would have been retired from the Air Force as a nurse, and I would already be an author of several fiction novels.
This brings me to my present place in life–pursuing a career as an author. Some of the stories that I’ve harbored cannot be told, but there are many to be shared just as well. I’m working on a few stories now, just needing to harness this energy towards which book to finish first. They are all combinations of fact and fiction–which I think most books are. There’s always an element of reality in most stories. It’s usually what gives us a boost to get the story started. Sometimes, it’s a breaking news flash, a sob story that you heard(accidentally), reading a book that you like, and deciding to take the characters on a different journey, or maybe just a deep desire that you’ve always kept to yourself, fearing others would consider it silly.
Whatever the case you only live once, so plan your moves carefully and make your mark.
